Discover murals, artists and fileteado through the visual culture of La Boca and Barracas.
You’ll have the opportunity to discover Buenos Aires street art as much more than decoration. Through the murals of La Boca and Barracas, we connect neighborhood identity, social history, popular culture and the artists who transformed public space into a visual archive.
Why choose this experience?
The focus is on muralism, large-scale works, local artists and fileteado porteño. We’ll uncover the cultural and social context behind what we see, avoiding the generic graffiti-tour approach that would not accurately represent this experience.
- Murals and large-scale public artworks
- La Boca and Barracas
- Local artists and neighborhood identity
- Introduction to fileteado porteño
- A route organized by zones and completed partly by vehicle
What to expect
The route is organized by zones rather than by a rigid list of works, since murals and access conditions can change. We complete part of the experience by vehicle and visit a Café Notable as part of the neighborhood’s cultural landscape, together with an artist’s atelier.
