Buenos Aires Tours FAQs

Planning a guided experience in Buenos Aires? Here you will find practical answers about how the tours work, what can be adapted, transportation, admissions and the details that vary between experiences. Every experience is personally guided by Paola. Always review the individual tour page for its confirmed inclusions and current availability.

Planning and choosing a tour

Are the tours private?

Yes. Paola personally guides the experiences presented as private tours unless an individual page expressly states otherwise. Some components operated by third parties, such as the boat ride on the Tigre Delta Tour, may be shared.

Can the itinerary be customized?

The Full-Day and Half-Day Buenos Aires Tours follow carefully designed base itineraries covering essential areas of the city. The emphasis, pace and order can be adapted to your interests, but these are not entirely open itineraries. Thematic tours follow the subject and route described on their individual pages.

Should I choose the half-day or full-day Buenos Aires tour?

Choose the half-day tour for a structured introduction when your time is limited. The full-day option covers a broader range of areas and allows more time to understand the city, including a scheduled lunch break.

How long do the tours last?

The scheduled duration is displayed on each tour page and remains the basis of the booking. A personalized pace or itinerary does not imply an open-ended extension.

Who will guide my tour?

Every Tu Guía en BA experience is personally guided by Paola. You will communicate with her directly and she will accompany you throughout the tour.

Where does each tour begin?

The meeting point or pickup information is confirmed for your selected experience. Walking tours use defined starting points, while vehicle tours follow the pickup conditions shown in the booking details.

Is transportation included?

Transportation varies by tour. Some experiences include a private vehicle, some use public transportation, and others are walking tours. The Tigre Delta Tour includes transportation between Buenos Aires and Tigre, while its boat ride is shared.

Are admission tickets, food and drinks included?

Only the items listed under What is included on the individual tour page form part of the experience. Any ticket, meal, drink or personal expense listed under What is not included is paid separately.

What should I do if I have mobility or accessibility requirements?

Contact Paola before booking so the route, walking distance, stairs, vehicle access and possible interior visits can be reviewed with your needs in mind. Accessibility conditions vary between tours and venues.

Can routes change?

The order of stops or individual venues may change because of traffic, opening hours, availability, public events or conditions on the day. The central theme and confirmed inclusions of the booked experience remain clear.

Questions about specific experiences

Is the Buenos Aires Night Tour a nightlife or bar tour?

No. It is an evening sightseeing tour focused on illuminated Buenos Aires, Plaza de Mayo, El Ateneo Grand Splendid and an introduction to Palermo Soho’s evening atmosphere. It does not explore bars or nightlife codes.

Is food included in the Buenos Aires Night Tour?

Yes. The tour includes one slice of pizza and one drink per participant.

Is the Recoleta Cemetery ticket included in the North Walking Tour?

No. Recoleta Cemetery admission is paid separately. Please check the current admission fee before your visit.

Does the North Walking Tour enter the Museo Nacional de Arte Decorativo?

No. The walk finishes at the museum entrance so travelers may visit independently afterward, subject to its opening days, hours and admission conditions.

What makes the Buenos Aires Immigration Tour different from the South Tour?

The Immigration Tour concentrates specifically on migration, port life, work and housing. It also explores a less tourist-oriented side of La Boca and includes entry to a conventillo to hear the first-hand story of an immigrant and artist.

Is the Street Art Tour a graffiti tour?

The tour uses street art as the broader search category, but its actual focus is muralism, large-scale works, local artists and fileteado porteño in La Boca and Barracas.

Will the Street Art Tour show the same murals every time?

Not necessarily. Public art and access conditions change, so the route is organized by zones rather than promising an identical list of works on every date.

Is the Architecture Tour completed on foot?

No. It is completed primarily by private vehicle, with selected stops and possible interior visits. Access to places such as Galería Güemes depends on opening conditions and may involve a spiral staircase.

Does the Dictatorship Tour visit ESMA?

Yes. The UNESCO World Heritage-listed ESMA Museum and Site of Memory is essential to the experience, so the tour is not offered when the site is closed.

Does the Eva Perón Tour include Recoleta Cemetery admission?

No. The route includes Recoleta Cemetery, but its admission ticket is paid separately unless the booking expressly states otherwise.

Is the Eva Perón Tour only about the Museo Evita?

No. The museum is one part of a broader biographical route through Plaza de Mayo, Recoleta Cemetery and other places connected to Eva Perón’s life, political work and legacy.

Are dietary alternatives available on the Sightseeing and Food Tour?

Vegetarian and celiac options are available when requested in advance. A vegan option is not guaranteed and must be confirmed before booking.

Is the Tigre Delta boat ride private?

No. The one-hour Paseo de los 5 Ríos is a shared boat ride operated by Sturla.

Is lunch included in the Tigre Delta Tour?

No. The tour provides free time to eat beside the river, but lunch is paid separately. The shared boat ride and round-trip transportation between Buenos Aires and Tigre are included.

When is the Tigre Delta Tour available?

The experience is offered on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
